Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!!  It is hard to believe it has been 11 years since I started working for the Deer Valley Unified School District.  Time sure goes by fast:). 

I was born and raised in Washington State and moved to Arizona in September of 1986.  After working in the airline industry for 20 years I decided to try something that would give more meaning to my life.   In 2008 I decided to go back to school and get my Associates Degree in Nursing.  I graduated from Southwest Skills Center in Avondale and worked with the Geriatric population in Assisted Living which was truly rewarding.  In 2012 I saw that DVUSD was hiring nurses and thought it would be really wonderful to work with children. I applied and got a job working as a one-on-one student assigned nurse.  When my student was absent I would help out nurses at other schools.  This experience really gave me the desire to be a school nurse so when a position became available at Arrowhead Elementary, which was my home school, I jumped at the chance!  I have been a school nurse now at Arrowhead for 9 years. 

I am truly blessed to have made my home here at Arrowhead.  I love the students and the staff!!

It is an honor and a privilege to care for the students and staff here at Arrowhead Elementary School.  My goal has always been to advocate for my patients and make sure they get the best care possible.  Please feel free to stop by the health office or contact me via email or phone to share any concerns or questions regarding your child.
